Chain Letter
It is 1997. You wrote a chain email. It has not stopped.
You do not build a factory here — every infected inbox forwards the letter on its own, so the spread is a real epidemic curve: it crawls, it explodes, and then it runs out of people. A saturated world is worth nothing, so you buy a bigger one: address book → office listserv → web ring → forum signatures → the social feed → every group chat on Earth.
Sharpen the subject line, add a guilt trip, attach a cursed .gif, and eventually let it forward itself. When the spam filters finally win, you REWRITE THE LETTER — keeping permanent notoriety, so the next one is born more contagious.
How to play
- SEND IT to infect inboxes by hand (it scales with how fast the chain is already going)
- Buy upgrades with forwards — the currency your infected inboxes generate
- When the bar hits 100%, EXPAND REACH: same letter, whole new world, spread explodes again
- REWRITE THE LETTER to trade a run for permanent contagion
Features
- A logistic spread curve instead of the usual buy-a-generator ladder
- Six worlds, each ~25× bigger than the last
- Offline progress — it keeps forwarding for up to 8 hours with the tab shut
- Autosave, shareable score card, keyboard shortcuts
- Portrait, mobile-friendly, no install, no ads. Free — tips welcome.
